And the margin for error is so thin because the weakness of the mid majors


99.9999% the major conferences will be won by a team already going to the tournament. There's too much good basketball for a team like Texas to beat Iowa St, West Virginia, Baylor and Kansas back to back to back like UGA did in 08. But they can beat one or 2of them. So a conference like the MVC. Northern Iowa can get hot again and win the tournament by only having to really beat Wichita in the finals. BYU can get hot and beat Gonzaga and St Mary's. UCONN or Memphis can get hot to win the AAC.Richmond can get hot and win the A10. All those conferences have 1-2 locks guaranteed no matter what. But another team gets hot, they only have to get 1 or 2 good wins to sneak in and take spots away. Unlike years when there are 6 A10 teams going so we know a team would have beat 3 or 4 really good teams in a row to do it. Likelihood goes down on that.
